If you love the classic granny square stitch, give this Christmas stocking a try!
The Granny Stitch Christmas Stocking is made from the toe up in joined rounds, and worked in one solid piece without cutting and attaching yarn (yes, that includes the heel)!
An interesting feature in this pattern is that it can be worked in so many different color combinations: solid, variegated, stripes, a new color for every round – each stocking you make can be totally unique!
This Granny Stitch Christmas Stocking is a great design to crochet because:
- You can use yarn you already have on hand!
- These make great gifts for the holiday season!
- These projects use very little yarn, so they’re great stash-busters!
- You’ll get to practice a lot of crochet skills: Yarn and color choice, joined rounds, complex stitch and round repeats, shaping, finishing techniques & more!
